We are excited to introduce our new ultra-lightweight (3.7g/pair) revolutionary body mount system for use with horizontal rear body pillars!

Our original HRP body mount system has taken the world by storm and thousands of racers have chosen to mount their bodies the better way! After months of feedback from drivers around the world as well as our team drivers, including Marc Rheinard, Atsushi Hara, Yannic Prumper, Akio Sobue and Nicholas Lee, we set out to further improve an already great product. 

 

The development of the new HRP ULTRA LITE!

Following the popularity of the HRP Pro, we set out to make a great product even better. Thanks to feedback from racers, we knew we could reduce the weight even further while maintaining sufficient strength. We managed to reduce the weight of the entire HRPUL set by a massive 50%! The new HRPUL weighs only 1.7 g per assembly! This is even lighter than using a vertical body post! 

The HRP UL still has the stepped adjustment for easy adjustment and a total vertical height adjustment of 7 mm. Only one screw is now used to reduce the weight. This screw is made from grade 5 titanium to ensure maximum strength and minimum weight. The carbon extension is still kept straight by the alignment studs around the screw. 

The final step in the development was one that changes the game by allowing the use of only one type of carbon extension per car! We built an offset into the brackets, which means the same bracket AND carbon can be used between Zoo and Xtreme bodies. Simply swap the brackets left to right and the carbon extension left to right between the bodies! The brackets are laser engraved so you can easily see which way everything fits. 

 

Advantages of our HRP ULTRA LITE system

The handling benefits of the horizontal rear body pillars are undeniable. The downforce that is transferred to the rear of the body results in significant handling benefits as the downforce is distributed across the chassis and the body is more planted when transitioning from left to right. 

However, some of the main issues with this system are durability, rigidity and adjustability. 

Durability: The holes in the Lexan are always close to the skirt, which means that they can easily be ripped out or damaged in even the smallest of accidents.

Stiffness: This area of the bodywork is very thin and can flex under load, which means that downforce is not distributed as efficiently.

Adjustability: The height adjustability of the body depends solely on the attachment to the chassis, which is not necessarily adjustable in fine increments or easily.

Our new Horizontal Rear Post Body Mounts improve ALL of these areas!

The durability of the body is significantly increased as it no longer has holes in the rear of the body. The connection is made via the 2mm thick carbon extension and the 7075 aluminum mount, which is directly connected to the wing strut.

Stiffness has been drastically improved as the body is now attached to the car via a solid, extremely stiff combination of carbon fiber and 7075 aluminum. This ensures maximum transfer of downforce to the rear of the car and ensures that the aerodynamics of the body/wing are fully transferred to the car. Use our 7075 Ultra Lite Touring Car Wing Buttons for maximum rigidity of your HRP UL system, and they only weigh 0.26g each! 

Adjustability is paramount, and our HRP UL can be adjusted in 1mm increments with a total travel of 7mm. Simply loosen the screws, slide the carbon extension up or down into the other notches and tighten firmly. It is important to note that the screws do not need to be tightened as much as on previous versions, as the fixing lugs prevent slippage in the event of falls.

All of this gives you an absolutely perfect, lightweight solution to transfer the maximum amount of downforce to your car while keeping the body more rigidly attached to the rear of your car than ever before. The mount is very stable, so you can stay on track in case of accidents and not have to replace any bodywork just because the holes have been damaged or ripped out. The adjustability that these mounts offer is a necessity to adjust the tilt and height of your body.

Our new Horizontal Rear Post Body Mounting Set ULTRA LITE can be transferred from body to body and securely mounts your wing, as well as bracing the wing to protect against deformation at high speed and in accidents.

Best of all, it makes body mounting an absolute breeze! No more drilling rear holes, just drill the front holes and screw on the brackets! We recommend using body pins on both sides of the body to ensure maximum rigidity.

The HRP UL system fits the  XtremeTwister & Twister Speciale, all Zoo Racing bodies, LensBodies and the Protoform P63.

Installation Instructions:

ZOO:

  • Install the aluminum brackets into the wing struts with the Z on each side of the body facing out. 
  • Attach the carbon extension to the bracket with the offset facing outwards. Secure it in the center position with the supplied size 5 titanium screw.
  • Check that the body/bracket slides onto the rear post. If they are stuck, loosen the carbon extension slightly, move it in the desired direction and tighten it again. The body posts may also be bent. Simply bend them in the desired direction to ensure that the body can move freely up and down on the rear posts.
  • Bring the rear of your body to the correct height by loosening the Gr.5 screw and moving the carbon extension up or down and retightening the screw.

XTREME:

  • Install the aluminum brackets into the wing struts with the X on each side of the body facing out. 
  • Attach the carbon extension to the bracket with the offset facing outwards. Secure it in the center position with the supplied size 5 titanium screw.
  • Check that the body/bracket slides onto the rear post. If they are stuck, loosen the carbon extension slightly, move it in the desired direction and tighten it again. The body posts may also be bent. Simply bend them in the desired direction to ensure that the body can move freely up and down on the rear posts.
  • Bring the rear of your body to the correct height by loosening the size 5 screw and moving the carbon extension up or down and retightening the screw.
